ESI Services, LLC (ESIS), formerly EDP Systems, Inc. was founded in 1973, as a provider of tools and services to users of Burroughs equipment.   From those origins, it has continued to grow over its 33 years as a provider of  IT-based business solutions, particularly in the area of COBOL and the migration/conversion of COBOL-based systems.  Our customers include the Federal Reserve Bank, Citicorp, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.                 

ESI Services works closely on migration projects with MSS International, its longstanding partner.  MSS is a migration specialist located in London, with customers in many nations on several continents.  Over the years, it has developed not only a very strong suite of products to automate migrations, but encyclopedic knowledge of the process.

Our partners include HP, IBM, Sun, Oracle, Microsoft, Micro Focus, and Fujitsu COBOL.  We have been a partner of Unisys, and earlier Burroughs, for most of our history, and Unisys commissioned ESI to write EVA, the V Series to A Series migration tool, which it both sold and used for many years. years.                                                                                                                                                                                   

Though still based in Tallahassee, today ESI has a customer base in Europe, Latin American and the United States. With a number of satellite offices throughout the U.S. and abroad, ESI is positioned to respond quickly to market demands and the diverse requirements and locations of its customers.

We’re a technology company, but ESI is about solving business problems for its customers.  This is the most consistent motivator for us, collectively as an organization and individually as employees.  It’s what we enjoy, and it’s what we’re good at!
